SAFETY BRIEF
NO DUFF – In the event of an Emergency (broken limb, player passing out, etc.) Yell ‘NO DUFF’ to stop the game. Everyone is asked to pull your mag out and stay where you are. This is for an Emergency only. If you want to ask if a ‘NO DUFF’ was called, say: Was that a ‘November Delta’?
Safe Zone – Mags out, guns on safe, NO dry-firing for any reason, and use barrel-bag.
Mercy Rule -Not mandatory. If you give the ‘bang-bang’ call, your opponent is not required to accept. They can shoot you from point-blank if they choose. But remember: Don’t be a “DICK”!
Full auto – Allowed but in bursts. No mag dumping. No Full auto in buildings.
No Blind Fire– Must be aiming down sights when firing at all times.
Fire – Unless out of control, not a No Duff. Raise your weapon above your head, call out fire, and stomp it out. Call staff for assistance if needed.
Smoke Grenades – Cold-Burn only. Allow smoke to ignite, then throw. NOT allowed to be used inside buildings. This is a safety concern due to vision and smoke inhalation. Please limit smoke to roadways/trails and areas free of brush piles. Approved pyro only.
(Not allowed during Fire Ban)
Grenades – Approx 10ft kill radius unless protected by hard cover. (Wall, big tree) Can be used inside buildings. Approved pyro only.
Kill Rag/Indicator – Anything Red and visible such as a red cloth or a red light on your body.
An alternative is to raise your primary weapon above your head to show that you are out of play.
DO NOT SHOOT PLAYERS that indicate they are dead or out of play.
Deadman Rules – A Dead Player may stay on the field (if LARPing) but cannot provide intel or assistance to the living! Chit-chatting to the dead guy next to you looks like you are still alive. Don’t complain about being shot if you don’t act dead. (Dead men don’t talk)
Maps and Trails – if you are not familiar with the field, get a battle buddy! Don’t get lost!
Gun Hits – They count as a hit. If you do not have a secondary weapon, then you must respawn to bring the weapon back into play.
Call your hits! – Don’t call other people’s hits.
Knife kills – done with a staff approved rubber training knife. Can only be used to gently tap your opponent. Do not stab. Do not throw.
Goggles – must be worn at all times while on field. No exceptions.
Chrono spot check – there is a chance of being asked to submit to a random chrono test. If you are caught or suspected of making a change to your equipment or refuse to submit immediately, you will be asked to leave.
No medic in buildings – regardless of current game medic rules, any reviving must be done outside of buildings.
Personal Medical situation – Player is requested to inform staff if they have any medical requirements (epipen, inhaler and insulin). If a player is having a medical issue, please let staff/volunteers know right away.
Garbage – all garbage must be removed from your tables and put in the appropriate container before you leave. Please help to keep our field and safe area clean. Players leaving garbage on field or safe area will be refused further entry to the field and its events.
Behavior – aggressive behavior towards staff or other players will not be tolerated and will lead to your removal from the property.
Field Management, Staff, and Marshalls have final say in all matters and disputes. CWA is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
General Field Rules
These rules are subject to changes, amendments and updates from time to time – it is YOUR responsibility as a player to ensure that your knowledge of the rules is current.
All players MUST agree to abide by these rules and laws at all times; failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave the field. We reserve the right to ask you to leave at anytime for not being in compliance with the rules. No refunds will be provided.
EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO FILL OUT A WAIVER FOR ANY GAME/EVENT NO EXCEPTIONS.
Annual Memberships will include an Online Waiver which will cover players for the current season.
No one under 18 will be permitted on the field or to handle any airsoft weapons unless the current event has been advertised for those under age 18. All persons must sign a personal waiver to participate in an airsoft event. Persons age 15-17 must have an accompanying an adult sign their waiver. Persons age 12-14 must have an accompanying adult/guardian with them at the field.
Upon arrival, you understand and accept any and all liabilities and risks of loss, injury and damages to yourself and/or your property. We (the property owners, and game planners) accept no personal responsibility or liability for any Injuries, damages, or losses that may occur while you are on the property. Please take note, this is a forest and there may be irritating plant and animal/insect life on the field.
FPS Limit
All zip ties (used to indicate previous testing) must be removed before the replica can be chrono’d for that day. There are no exceptions.
The field FPS limit is 1.5 joules for all semi or full automatic firearms. (400 FPS with a .20g BB).
Bolt action or Semi-Locked (mechanically) DMR Rifles FPS limit is 1.88 joules (~366fps w/0.30g).
Minimum engagement distance is 100ft for Bolt or Semi locked rifles at this limit.
Sniper certification is not used on this field unless indicated at the specific event.
Any and all violation of minimum engagement distance will result in the player being asked to leave the field.
All gas operated guns and HPA systems will be chronograph with the BB weight the player will be using on the field with a limit of 1.49 joules.
Field management has final word in this regard. Safety is of the utmost importance at CWA.
Bio degradable BBs are required at this field.
Safe Area
All guns will remain in bags, boxes, or cases until you are in the staging area.
There will be a marked “safe” staging area. There is absolutely no firing (live, dry or otherwise) permitted in this area. When returning to the staging area from the field all players will remove their magazines, point their barrel down in a safe direction and fire it, approximately three to five (3-5) times to clear any BBs from the chamber. The guns will then be switched to safe and remain that way until you return to the play area or test fire at the range.
When handling airsoft guns in the safe area ALL players are expected to point their barrel in a safe direction (pointed up or down) and handle all airsoft guns in a safe manner. Do not sweep your weapon across anyone’s path or have your barrel pointed at someone’s face. All airsoft guns should be treated as if real firearms while in the safe zone. Be nice if someone gently reminds you. Disregarding this rule may result in you being asked to leave the field. Barrel bags are a requirement in the safe area. All pistols not holstered must have the magazine removed in the safe area. AGAIN it is expected that all airsoft guns will be treated as real firearms in the safe area.
All Players should check the large maps on display to make them selves aware of field boundaries.
Eye Wear
FULL SEAL BALLISTIC EYE WEAR ONLY (no “shooter type” glasses unless approved for events). No mesh goggles permitted.
Protective eye wear must be worn at ALL TIMES on the field and at the Range.
Pyro
No pyrotechnics, fireworks, flammables/explosives etc. without prior approval. We reserve the right to ask you to prove that the item you intend to use is safe for the conditions; this may involve using one in a controlled test.
Garbage
DO NOT leave any garbage around the safe zone, or field. Police your garbage and please use the provided garbage cans.
In Game
In game, when hit by a bb you must yell “HIT!” To signify that you’ve been hit, raise your hand and display your red kill rag/light for other players to see, then leave the field, or do as the rules of the event would dictate. When a player calls a hit, please make an effort not to overshoot the person that’s been hit.
Mercy
General GameDay events do not apply the Mercy rule. Mercy Rules only apply if the game dictates so. If the shooter calls “mercy” and the target then decides to decline the mercy, the shooter may engage and fire. This means mercy is optional and can be accepted or not accepted (similar to a parley). Once hit, refrain from talking or passing information to your team as DEAD MEN DON’T TALK.
Gun Hits will count as elimination if the player does not have a side arm. If the player does have a side arm they must switch to the side arm.
NO BLIND FIRING! You MUST look and be able to see where you are shooting!
Do not shoot at any animals, cut down or remove any trees or plant life. If you’re going to “ghillie up”, you can make use of lite vegetation along the path entering the field from the safe zone.
Melee Combat
Foam or Rubber fake knives only!
When using one for close combat kills, a touch is enough to eliminate the player.
No throwing of training knives.
No stabbing or spearing with training knives.
Disregard of the this rule will incur immediate expulsion from the field.
Lasers
No visible lasers are permitted at this field. Class 1 or IR lasers are permitted with proof of documentation.
No Duff
In the event of an injury or emergency a “No Duff” call will be made. If you hear a “No Duff” inform those around you, repeat calling it out while making safe your weapons. All play will cease immediately until the field marshal restarts the game. Limited first aid will be available on sight, but for larger or more serious injuries please seek professional medical help. Remember, “No Duff” means that you require assistance; if you can exit the field on your own do so without calling a “No Duff”.
Concerns/Questions
Any safety concerns, questions, etc. should be brought to the attention of the field marshal or staff to be resolved. Any disputes between players brought to staff and will be dealt with accordingly. Arguing with staff or field marshals will be tolerated.
Road Access
Everyone who attends the field is expected to drive respectfully on the access roads to the forest. Anyone caught driving recklessly or with excessive speed will not be welcome back.
